There are tons of ways to get in touch with your spiritual side. Spirituality refers to the consideration of human spirit, rather than the concern for material or physical things. Some people practice meditation, yoga or even tarot and palm readings. About two years ago, I began learning about the healing powers behind stones, crystals and tarot. These forms of reflection and meditation work for me and they may help you as well.

Along with practicing tarot, I’ve used other tools of divination like pendulums, spell work, and stone grids. For anyone interested in exploring themselves at a subconscious level, I encourage you to read about your astrological sign and evaluate your birth chart first! With exploring a new practice like spirituality, there are wins and losses.

Quarantine is the perfect time to focus on spirituality and growth. I’ve found it to be a great way to practice self care and self love.

Below I’ve included the ingredients to a self-love spell jar; something to ignite your higher power.

Here’s what you need:

  • Cork-top jar
  • 2 sprigs Lavender
  • 1 tbsp. Honey
  • 1 tsp. Salt
  • Rose Quartz (optional)
  • A small note of affirmations to your higher self
  • A pink, red, or white candle

How to do it:

  1. In a small cork-top jar, place lavender, honey, salt and rose quartz.
  2. Write a note to yourself, fold it up and also place in jar.
  3. Close the jar.
  4. To seal the jar closed, light the candle and carefully drop the wax along the seal.

If these ingredients aren’t available to you, that’s okay! The intention is what matters most in any baby witch’s spell.
