Tayler Valentine is SEALED Magazine’s Resident Astrologist. People all over the world are beginning to ask the universe for a tad bit more guidance. Why astrology, you might ask? Well, why not? If the moon influences the tides and humans are composed of up to 60 percent of water, why not believe the moon has influence on you? Tayler provides this month’s astrological forecast and translates how that will impact each Zodiac sign.

Happy October Everyone! The weather is getting spooky, and so are these planets. Let’s hop right into it and see how the rest of the month will be going.

For the entirety of this month, Mars will be Retrograde in Aries squared Pluto, Jupiter, and Saturn in Capricorn. Squared planets represent tension! This months energy around politics and authority will be haste and boundaries will be tested. An expansive crisis is coming, but is necessary for growth and progression. 

October 13: Sun in Libra opposes Mars in Aries. In astrology, the Sun represents leaders and authority, while Mars represents action and aggression. Although the vibe is chaotic, Venus in Virgo influences us to gather our priorities and sort through what is and isn’t necessary. 

October 16: New Moon in Libra! Libras love harmony and that is what this New Moon is all about. Although this New Moon is sandwiched between two very aggressive Full Moons, it’s still the crack of sunlight in this foggy tunnel. Creating a warm home, and new beginning is necessary despite the environment around us. This is the perfect time for manifesting before reflecting again at the next Full Moon!

October 31: Full Moon in Taurus! At the same time, the Sun in Scorpio opposes Uranus in Taurus as well. Scorpios are very cynical and secretive; a power release may be due at the end of this month. This Full Moon is known as a “Blue Moon” because of its rarity to happen twice in one month. Mental and ideological aggression have been building up this month, and the release of those emotions is necessary for our progression. Don’t be afraid of your feelings around this time!

Aries (March 21—April 19)

Are you okay?! The way the planets are set up this month, it might be time to let something go! This month you come to terms with a dead end; realizing what does and does not serve you anymore. The New Moon on the 16th opens doors for harmonious gatherings and opportunities, but don’t sign the lease just yet! Reclaim yourself first and foremost.

Taurus (April 20 — May 20)

This month is going to take you full circle Taurus! The Moon on October 1 will influence you to let go of a goal or dream that may not be practical. As one of the most grounded signs in the zodiac, it’s important for you to pursue only that of purpose and benefit for the collective. What’s making you so lazy? It’s time to wake up from that nap and get started!

Gemini (May 21 — June 20)

Gemini, domestic and financial matters will transition into a good routine due to Venus moving into your 4H of home and family on October 2. Your ruling planet Mercury goes Retrograde the 13th, so revise health matters and check your mental. As the twins, you’ve got multiple facets of your personality that may need a little extra tending to. Your energy has been chaotic lately, let’s get back to the drawing board.

Cancer (June 21 — July 22)

With the Full Moon highlighting the beginning of this month, you may spot flaws in your work and home plans. Emotions surface that require your attention before you decide to make your next move. On October 19, Venus moves into your 3H of communication, making this a good time to make agreements, decisions or contracts. First, let your boss know you’re unhappy at work. Second, check the energy you’re exhausting on relationships at home.

Leo (July 23 — Aug. 22)

Leo, the theme for you this month is finances! Lucky you! The Full Moon combined with Mars in Retrograde insinuates a loss of direction. You may be lacking motivation at this time, but you’ll get your mojo back soon enough. Remind yourself that if everything has to be perfect, it’ll never get done. By the Full Moon at the end of this month, money and professional matters have the opportunity to blossom; but only if you water them.

Virgo (Aug. 23 — Sept. 22)

You’re very desirable this month, Virgo! Although you may not feel that way, Venus moving into your sign October 2 brings you lots of confidence and positive energy. The week of October 19 brings maximum love potential for yourself and others so don’t be too picky about the connections around you. There’s nothing charming about an anal Virgo; try embracing your environment rather than criticizing it.

Libra (Sept. 23 — Oct. 22)

Way to go Libra, it’s your time to shine! Your need for harmony and balance is poking. Venus rules your sign, meaning good relationships and romantic affairs may be on the horizon sooner than you think. Relationships you develop with anyone this month will require compromise and communication, but don’t do all the work just to keep the peace!

Scorpio (Oct. 23 — Nov. 21)

Venus moves into your 11H of Friendship on October 2, so it’s time to leave the house! Imagine the connections you could make with people if you let your guard down just a tad. The Full Moon on the 1st lands on your 6H of wellness, so there may be underlying health issue that needs your attention; whether it’s chronic pain or your mental health. At the end of this month, behavior can not be predicted so avoid an emotional outburst when information rises to the surface.

Sagittarius (Nov. 22 — Dec. 21)

Sweet, sweet Sagittarius! Heart matters this month aren’t looking great. The Full Moon on October t lands in your 5H of True Love that is ALREADY Retrograde in the same area of your chart. If you’re picking up what I’m putting down, it might be a good time to shoot your arrow in a different direction. Although relationship progression might not be at it’s peak, opportunities for good finances are. Venus will be at the top of your chart mid-October highlighting your sector of Money and success. Capricorn (Dec. 22 — Jan. 19)

The Full Moon is out to get you too, Cap! This Moon lights up your 4H of domestic affairs and brings emotions to an all time high. You may receive news about a family member or coworker that makes you extra sensitive. The New Moon combined with Venus at the top of your chart of the 27th puts your plans in motion so you can finally reap your rewards. The second Full Moon on the 31st falls in your 5H of Love. Did you get bit by the love bug?

Aquarius (Jan. 20 — Feb. 18)

Aquarius, the setbacks you had last month made for a comeback this month! The week of October 19, Venus links with expansive Jupiter, intense Pluto and stabilizing Saturn bringing lots of lucrative energy and opportunities. Your goals around career and productivity go a little sideways when Mercury goes Retrograde. Reconsider your options, but don’t get discouraged.

Pisces (Feb. 19 — March 20)

Poor Pisces. Some resentful feelings regarding erratic spending rise to the surface when the Full Moon in Aries lands in your 2H of Income on the 1st. Whatever happened is in the past, you can only learn your lesson and move on. Although money may be tight, Venus moves into your 7H of Relationships with harmony and balance. When Mercury goes Retrograde on the 13th, you might learn something new.
